Admission to Klaipėda University



  1. Register here.
  2. Select a study programme. You are allowed to have 3 choices in order of your priorities.
  3. Upload required documents:
    * Proof of English language proficiency (TOEFL, IELTS or other English language test, level minimum requirement is B2.);
    * Entry qualification documents. (High school / secondary education (or higher), minimal score must be no less than 60 per cent);
    * Copy of Passport;
    The recognition of your previous qualification.
  4. Pay the application fee. For citizens of the EU member states or countries of the European Economic Area (Ukraine, Moldova, Georgia, Belarus, Armenia, and Azerbaijan), as well as those who have a permanent residence permit in the Republic of Lithuania: €55. For other students: €150. (Application fee is non refundable) Upload the bank statement.
  5. Provided all the necessary documents have been submited and the fees have been paid, the application is forwarded to the Academic Evaluation Commission for consideration. The Commission evaluates applications on the basis of applicant’s academic performance, motivation, and other established criteria and takes a decision on the applicant’s admission to studies.
  6. Provided the Commission takes a positive decision, University issues the Conditional letter.
  7. Pay the tuition fee and upload the bank statement.
  8. Once the tuition fee is paid, University issues Letter of Acceptance and prepares all needed documents for your chosen embassy.
  9. If visa is issued, we welcome you at Klaipėda University!
  10. Tuition fee is reimbursed only IF VISA IS BEING REJECTED. If applicant’s documents are under review at the Embassy, tuition fee can not be reimbursed.

  • 30th November – for Spring semester


Exchange studies

First of all students must be notified by home institution as an exchange students. Then students have to apply by sending required documents to the International Studies Office.

Entry requirements:

  • Nomination at home university;
  • Adequate level of written and spoken English is expected (Level B1)

Application deadlines:

  • 1st June – Autumn semester
  • 1st November – Spring semester

Student’s applications are assessed and for those, who are accepted, enrolment letter and information package containing the practical information are sent via e–mail, if it is necessary via post. For those who applied for autumn semester the enrolment letter is sent during July/August; and for those who applied for spring semester – during December/January.

Erasmus students do not pay any fees! 





The Application fee for degree study programmes is for citizens of the EU member states or countries of the European Economic Area (Ukraine, Moldova, Georgia, Belarus, Armenia, and Azerbaijan), as well as those who have a permanent residence permit in the Republic of Lithuania: €55. For other students: €150. (Application fee is non refundable). 

Application fee for international courses is 30 EUR.

Please note that student has to cover fee for the international transfers him-/herself.

If the applicant pays the application and tuition fees for the international studies, but there is a reasonable explanation why the applicant cannot come to study at Klaipėda University, the tuition fee the applicant paid is refunded, but the application fee is not refunded (it is non-refundable).
