What our participants say AFTER THE course
Erasmus students
Mona (Germany):
“I remember the language course as “buvo labai įdomu ir gerai“. We had a magnificent cultural programme. Seeing all those beautiful parts of Lithuania was a great motivation to learn Lithuanian. I think taking part in the course was not only the best way to start learning Lithuanian but also the best way to become fascinated by Lithuania!”
Tomas (Sweden):
“Well, I think Klaipėda is a great place to be in during the summer, with the beach, Memelis (and other places!), the Sea Festival, Palanga, Nida … The Lithuanian language might be why I came during the summer, but in the end I ended up learning so much more about the country and the people.”
Another Tomas from Sweden:
“I can strongly recommend the language course at Klaipėda University. Not only because of great and well arranged course but also for the fun activities, nice staff and last but not least the beautiful beach.”
Dennis (the Netherlands):
“Looking back to the four weeks I’ve spent in Klaipėda I can say that I had a fantastic summer and learnt a lot about the language, which turned out to be useful during the rest of my stay in Lithuania. The language course at Klaipėda University gives you the possibility to learn the Lithuanian language in a good way. The university is situated in a beautiful, historic building, with good facilities and near the city centre. The teachers are giving their lectures in a motivating and amusing way so you never know what to expect the next day. Furthermore, the people from the international relations office create a fantastic atmosphere, with their friendliness, amazing energy and a great cultural program.
About my whole stay in Klaipėda I can say I had an unforgettable time.”
Miriam (Germany):
“I liked the language course because in general, Lithuanian was taught to us in very lively manner and we learned first things you really need to “survive” in a foreign country.”
Sara (Sweden):
“The language course is the perfect start for an exchange studies in Klaipėda. The course combines all the things you want to do when you just arrive in a new country; you will meet a lot of new friends, you will travel around and see many of the important sights and you will have a good base to start talking Lithuanian.
When I later talked to other exchange students in Lithuania about the language course I had, many of those who hadn’t participated in it were very jealous. To be near the Baltic Sea and combine vacation with learning Lithuanian is just perfect! The experiences, knowledge and friends I got during the language course is something I have taken with me during my whole stay here, it really makes a good start for your time in Lithuania!”
