LITHUANIAN LANGUAGE AND CULTURE SUMMER SCHOOL July 24 - August 21, 2009

GENERAL PRESENTATION
You will have a month of intensive language studies. There are daily classes of 4,5 academic hours (45 min). You will also have tasks for independent homework. This will give a great Nevertheless, you will have enough time for visiting interesting places, walking on the beach, and swimming in the Baltic Sea.

• You will acquire basic skills of spoken and written Lithuanian (conversation skills, shopping, traveling, etc.). The language skills acquired will help you to live and study in Lithuania. Moreover, you could continue learning Lithuanian and apply it in your further studies or research field.
• For beginners, the teachers can explain things in a foreign language (if needed).
• You will certainly like several outdoor classes visiting a café, shop, bus station, sculpture park, etc.
• During your studies you will get acquainted with the main facts of Lithuanian culture, traditions and history.

• You will be provided with language learning materials.
• After your graduation you will receive the officially recognized certificate of Klaipėda University. Those who successfully pass the examination will get 6 ECTS (European Credit Transfer System) credits.
• Cultural program will include some lectures, excursions in Klaipėda and some sites out of town (see below).
