Brabander

The sailing vessel "Brabander" was built in 1977 by the Dricon Shipyard in Drimmelen, the Netherlands, with the aim of training local young people. The name of the vessel, which started her service in 1980, refers to the Braband Region, the Netherlands. Since 1st November 2006, the sailing vessel has been operated by Klaipėda University; her name has not been changed. Brabander is used for the purposes of student training, marine research, sustainable marine tourism, and educational programmes.
